This wonderful little beach is half way between Bondi and Bronte. The name: Tamarama is thought to be derived from the aboriginal word: Gamma, Gamma meaning storm, and indeed this beach is subject to rips and turbulence making it one of the more dangerous beaches around Sydney. From an artist's point of view, however, it has everything: sea, sand, surf and rocks!
