Balmoral

Oil on board 12.7 x 22.8cm
This size painting, known as a 9 x 5 inch has become something of a tradition for small landscape studies.  The first 9 x 5 exhibition was  held in Melbourne, 1889 featuring the artists Tom Roberts, Charles Conder and Arthur Streeton.

Balmoral through the trees

Watercolour and gouache 14 x 18cm
This is a result of a visit to Balmoral Beach recently.  It is the first watercolour I have done in some time - so much easier to carry watercolours than oils on little excursions like this.
