The touching drawer

I'm thinking here that this picture is a type of still life, surreal as well as moving towards the abstract.

My aim was to move the eye around the picture by use of colour but also the pointing fingers and angled arms. There is also a reference to Michelangelo's Creation.

This is an enlargement of a small gouache I did previously with a deepening of the tones and richer colour.

Doing a second and larger version really helped me think through the process.
