At the gallery whilst the world burns

The G7 summit has just finished.  Meanwhile the Amazon rain forest is up in flames, most illegally lit so the forest can make way for beef.  So these were some of the world issues going on in the back of my mind.

Still life in purple and yellow

This is a minimalist design using the complimentary colours of purple and yellow.

The pink overcoat

It is cold in our studio so I asked our lovely model if she could model fully clothed and wear anything provided it was not black.

Lotus leaves

This is based on a photo I took of lotus at Ueno.  They had finished flowering but I loved how the leaves were blowing in the breeze; so animated before they died back and sunk into the mud.

Nasturtiums

These cheerful little flowers are just appearing.  Heralding spring which is not far off, especially with global warming.

Commuters

Got the idea for this after a short ride on the train with a couple of friends who were in deep conversation.

Grey Vase
