On yellow
Collage 21 x 29.7cm
I do recommend collage: getting glue on the fingers, snip, snip, recycling old magazines, tearing pages. It's the gardeners equivalent of sinking your hands in the soil. Even better to do both but maybe not at the same time!

Tea with lemon
Collage 211 x 29.7cm
Happiness is sitting down with a pair of scissors, a glue stick and making a collage.
A wonderful artist and teacher of mine introduced collage to me as a way of simplifying, thinking about shapes and working out a composition.

The girl in the hat
Gouache on canvas paper 42 x 29cm
We have been hiring a model at the studio every Friday. However this week we decided to have just the one pose and clothed. The model kindly brought in a selection of hats and dresses for us to choose. It was a lot of fun and the overwhelming vote is to do it again, especially during the winter months when the studio is very cold (even with heaters).
Finalist in the Georges River 2019 Art Show.
