Have been playing around with landscape, trying to simplify the forms so that the image is a little closer to abstraction.  I find it easier to repeat the same image and continuously play with varying results.

Sue Sketching

Sue and I attended the same art school and now have studios near one another at Oneplus2 Rozelle.

We also attend art shows, sketch clubs, discuss art and take turns to sit for one another.

The sun was shining yesterday, despite being very cold.  So I got off the bus on the way to my studio and walked the last three stops, mainly to warm myself up but also to have a look at the streets around Lilyfield.  I saw this winter tree casting a nice shadow on the fence.
