This painting was done in one session using the Asian method of laying in the brush strokes without going over them. This produces a spontaneity and freshness and can be a lot of fun.
It rained quite heavily on Thursday and Friday morning providing me with my subject for the next couple of days. I love the light when it is raining:shadows are subdued and the greens are enhanced, along with the humidity!!
I am very pleased to announce that I am in a magazine! Three of my landscapes are in
the Feb edition of House and Garden magazine. Two of them are oils of Blackmans Bay based on sketches I did when I visited that beautiful beach in TAS, and one is acrylic on paper of Delwood Beach at Manley, NSW. These were all posted in Feb, last year and have sold.
